Boggling, also known as an Eye Lid Lift, does just that...it
lifts the eye lid so that less lid or no lid is showing. This
procedure can be done on EBL and SBL Blythes and does require
that you open the head. The earlier BL Blythe eye lids are
already "boggled" or "lifted" in their stock condition. |

Boggled EBL - No eye lid showing |

- Using a razor
knife, shave the plastic in the area shown below (red line).
- It is IMPORTANT to
shave only a small bit. All it takes is approx. 1mm. If you
haven't removed enough, you can always easily go back and shave a
bit more. If you shave too much, it will be difficult to build
that area up again.
- To check and see
if you've shaved enough, you can put JUST the eyelids back into
the head and push down on the piece where the spring is attached,
to see how much eyelid will show.

- Some EBL Blythes have
posts in the back of the head. If your Blythe has these posts,
they will need to be altered as well in order to achieve the boggled
effect.
- You will need to shave
away a bit of the plastic on the posts where indicated in the photo
below.
